Conducting free classes for those interested in Becoming an Amateur Radio Operator and offering licensing exams by our Volunteer Examiners (VEs). Students provide their own ARRL Ham Radio License Manual.
Participating in Amateur Radio Field Day the fourth weekend in June. According to ARRL, “Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the United States and Canada … a picnic, a campout, practice for emergencies, and informal contest, and most of all, FUN.” More than 35,000 radio amateurs participate, many using portable stations, temporary antennas, and generator or solar power to simulate emergency conditions.
